Thanks to a friend of mine I made my way to this sweet cafe which is well known thanks to Oprah - it is called Serendipity and is a quirky cafe and gift store
The apple pie is to die for
It was a lovely way to rest from walking this big city
Not far down the road in the Upper East Side is Dylan's Candy Store
This is a three story store totally filled with every candy type you can think of
Yes, even a marshmallow filiblaster - it is a gun that fires marshmallows - really!
As Halloween is just under 2 months away the shelves are stocked with treats for the occasion
Every single chocolate and lollie bar that I could think of was here and more
The floor has lollies set into it
You will be glad to know that after that apple pie I did not buy a thing
Next stop was the MET - I could not go in tho as I had food in my bag and you can't take food in and I did not want to throw it out plus there is a Andy Warhol exhibition staring next week so I will save my visit for that.
Wandered back through Central park and look what I saw (below) in fact squirrels are everywhere - Autumn is just around the corner.
