Storm watch ..part 3

So it looks like Hurricane Sandy is just about here.... subways are closed from 7pm tonight and parts of Manhattan have been evacuated, elevators turned off and some power already off in some areas that they want people to leave from.

It seems that the wind and the surge of water that is expected are the issues, the water will flood and the wind will blow down trees, debris etc.

The TV is full of what we should do.. I have all my supplies now including the important things like magazines and books to read cause if that power goes off and I cant leave the room I can only look at myself in the mirror for so long..

So far my area is OK and I am on the third floor with 3 more floors above me so I feel Ok.  I don't know what to expect outside but I will just do what feels safe and what I am told.

I am going to pack an evacuation bag just in case...

If we lose power I wont be able to pass on updates but I will do what I can... thanks for those who are emailing me to check I am ok... so far AOK!  I even have red wine and bubbly so really I could just sleep through the whole thing... if  new york city was not so bloody noisy that is!
