A week has flown by and I am back from Atlanta....
I am proud to admit that the first stop for my Aussie friend and I was Hooters - no judging please.
The girls were all dressed in various skimpy outfits but nothing crude or in bad taste - the outfits were minimal but all private parts were adequately covered - the food was cheap and on the fast food side but more importantly the margaritas were cheap and thirst quenching.
Next stop was World of Coca Cola.... it was actually good. They promoted themselves like you have never seen but I guess when you are the Coca Cola head quarters you should. We spent approx 3 hours there looking at their various exhibits. $16.50 to enter so did not break the bank and you got to drink as much coke as you could and bring a bottle home.
Coca-Cola makes more than the Coke we know...they had a tasting room where you could taste all that is created in the various countries around the world.
And of course the coke that we all know and mostly love.... just not the cherry cola - that was like medicine.
On another sunny Atlanta day we went to the Atlanta History Museum - something that I don't usually do but I am glad I went along to this one. I learnt so much about the American cival war and took a guided tour of a typical Georgia mansion.
Most nights we were able to find a tasty margarita somewhere - bargain price of $6.95 for a drink that lasted all through dinner
And my princess of a friend got to try on some peacock inspired Manolo Blahnik's - the $895 price tag was thought about for a split second before reality set in.
Views from the hotel room
Possibly the best bed I have ever slept in.... the hotel was amazing, great gym, great views and the bed.... we described them as like sleeping on a cloud, you actually had to jump into it as it was so high and cushiony. It was the best 5 nights sleep I have had since landing in the States 2 months ago. The weather was fantastic and Atlanta was fun especially because I got to spend time with my friend when she was not working but really there is no need to return there again.
