The Loveboat

Today was a magic NYC day so a three hour cruise circumnavigating Manhattan was a must.

Boarded the above cruiser for 3 hours of magical Manhattan scenery.

This is a navy aircraft carrier and space museum and some sort of space craft - all impressive from the outside and I am sure great to do if you are into that sort of stuff.
The aircraft carrier - cant tell from the picture but it was impressive.
Midtown West Manhattan - Chealsea area

The caged structure is a golf playing range - clever and what a view from the course!
New World Trade Centre building in process of being completed

This is New Jersey - across the river from Manhattan - the glass building is the highest in New Jersey, some sort of finance building - still no reason to go there.
Ellis Island and you know what.. we did not go on the Island tho you can but cant climb up the structure at the moment as being repaired and restored.

A building on government island which has been opened to the public on weekends within the last few years - you have to catch a ferry there and they have fairs, music festivals, art etc there on weekends over summer.  You can hire bikes there to ride around the island.
 Going under the brooklyn bridge

Looking up river to another bridge (cant remember which one - we went under 19 in total during the tour and lets just say the first 3 were interesting but after that it was just a bridge)

A power plant on the shore of Queens
A very sun kissed me - Yes I am really here!  So the cruise was great but I did start looking at my watch at the 1.5 hour mark but I must say I had no idea how diverse some areas of Manhattan and the other boroughs are.  A lesson well learnt today and a fantastic day to be out amongst it. xx
