This is Rockerfeller centre in midtown - spring and summer this is a busy cafe but come Autumn and Winter it is transformed into an ice skating rink. At the moment it is just water but is slowly freezing over. I have never been ice skating before but I did watch my little brother skate here once SO.... I have decided that this winter I need to get my skate on. I will give it a go, even tho it frightens me a little, I mean how does that thin metal knife like blade keep you upright and moving forward? I guess time will tell... thankfully I have travellers insurance.
I skated on there when I visited - don't worry, it scares me too! While school kids were whizzing past me I was holding onto the rails the whole time.
