Document overload

So I finally had my interview - it was such a non event in the end.  I was there for about 30 minutes in total.  I got called to a counter and they asked to see my documents, I then had to pay the visa fee.  I was then told that all is OK expecpt I need another type of police report as well - I got a name search report but apparantlythey also need a finger print check (what the!).  I then got called for my actual interview and a lady asked me some really basic questions about where in America I will be going and what I will do there.

She then said thanks - I asked if that was it and it was.  I asked if I had the visa and they said all Ok  as soon as they get my new police report and if no criminal record they will issue the visa and send to me.

So I got the fingerprint check done yesterday and now I am waiting for those results - they should take about 10 working days and then I send them to the Sydney consultate and they will issue my visa.

A little bummed as it is not 100% guaranteed until I have that visa in my hand so I must wait a little longer (I guess I am 90% there).

How many more documents can one girl care about!
