The last 2 days have been everything all at once to below are some things I am thankful for:
1. Having a spare seat between me and the next passenger on the 14 hour flight to LA
2 The fact that the next passenger was a great guy and we just about talked the whole way (nothing romantic so relax)
3. Being welcomed so kindly by the US immigration officers in LAX - it was a painless experience and they were genuinely happy to have me!
4. The fact that someone else took my luggage (2 super large bags) off the carousal and put them on a trolley for me as I was still busy with immigration - no strain on my back in that one
5. The great cab driver I had from NYC airport - he was a demon driver winding through the traffic and had me downtown in no time with a great conversation to boot
6. My apartment is a little small and ordinary but location location people - awesome
7. My new gym does yoga on the roof at night - thank you, I may actually enjoy yoga
8. I have a new friend in the lady who signed me up at the gym, she asked for my CV straight up and has taken me under her wing
9. New York Fashion Stores - just been looking so far but thank you thank you thank you,so affordable and so much choice - plus most have bathrooms which is a good thing to know
10. Pre-packaged food - you can get everything you can think of here all cooked and neatly packaged for you to take away.... not that expensive either so no need for me cook really (thankfully and probably not that different from the Australian Di)
11. Free wifi - may you always connect me to the world.
But what I am mostly thankful for it - all my lovely friends and family emailing me - really need it and appreciate it at the moment so keep it up!
